                  A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CHANGE ORDER NO. 1
                  (FINAL), CONTRACT NO. P-1-94, BITUMINOUS
                  PAVEMENT RESURFACING PROJECT, WITH C. W.
                  MATTHEWS CONTRACTING CO., INC., WHICH CHANGE
                  ORDER DECREASES THE CONTRACT BY THE AMOUNT OF
                  ONE HUNDRED THIRTY-EIGHT AND 95/100 DOLLARS
                  ($138.95), FOR A REVISED TOTAL CONTRACT PRICE
                  OF ONE MILLION, FOUR HUNDRED TWO THOUSAND,
                  FIVE HUNDRED THIRTY AND 05/100 DOLLARS
                  ($1,402,530.05).
                 
                 
                                                    
                 
                 
       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby authorized
       Change Order No. 1 (Final) for Contract No. P-1-94, Bituminous
       Pavement Resurfacing Project, with C. W. Matthews Contracting 
Co.,
       Inc., which change order decreases the contract by the amount of
       $138.95, for a revised total contract price of $1,402,530.05.
